Gramo Danse premiered in 2006. Gramo Danse, under the direction of Summer Beasley, Monica Newsam and Nicki Tipton Tallent, combines the unique combination of daring modern dance, dance theatre and new to the St. Louis dance community, Aerial dance. With its roots in modern dance and circus performance, aerial dance has become an innovative art form which has developed it’s own movement vocabulary and has grown over the past decade, both internationally, and in the United States. Modern dance will expand and be lifted to the air to explore new and unexpected ideas in movement.
